Coronavirus Information for Tenants

Coronavirus, COVID-19

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

Due to the government restrictions in place because of the Coronavirus outbreak, most schools and many workplaces are closed. This means that more people are at home and in their gardens and there may be additional noise during the day. We are asking all Tenants to be considerate and a bit more tolerant. However, if you have any genuine ASB issues to report please let me know by emailing katie@lrha.co.uk.

Bogus Callers

We are aware that there is a heightened risk of bogus callers during the Coronavirus outbreak. If you have any concerns about a member of staff, please feel free to ask them to provide proof of identification at a safe distance or you can call the office on 01790 754219 to confirm that their visit is legitimate. Please rest assured that the staff will not take offence if you choose to do this.

There are lots of reports of scam phone calls also and therefore do not be caught out. One example is calling and asking you to donate money to help fund vital medical equipment over the phone. You may get calls about problems with software or the internet and they may ask you to log on to your computer, iPad or other devise. Your internet provider will never call and ask you to do this. In such circumstances just end the phone call.

Gas and Electricity

Energy suppliers are offering some help to those who may struggle to pay bills as a result of the coronavirus pandemic – both prepay and credit meter customers. The Government and energy suppliers have agreed new emergency measures to people who are unable to top up during the pandemic, including posting cards loaded with emergency credit to those who are self-isolating, adding discretionary credit to your meter, and allowing you to nominate someone to top up for you. If in doubt contact your energy provider.

All of our staff and contractors are following Government guidelines on social distancing. If you do see them working, please ensure that you always stay two meters from them. And finally, please be kind and understand that these are difficult times for our Staff also.

If you require any further information on the services we are providing during the coronavirus outbreak, please our Facebook page for any updates.

With the arrival of winter and an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), it is more important than ever that we all take steps to reduce the spread of infection in the community to save lives and protect the NHS.
