LRHA Receives a visit from MHCLG

“LRHA kindly hosted us for a two-day visit as policy officials from the Ministry of Housing,
Communities and Local Government. We visited a handful of properties and new developments,
discussing how smaller rural housing associations operate and the specific rural challenges the
team face, such as the large distance the team and contractors cover. LRHA’s commitment to
developing and supporting rural communities was very clear from their approach, as well as
their pride in knowing each of their residents and their background. The visit was very
informative and will ultimately help us with developing policy to support rural housing
