We may not have offices in New York, London or Tokyo. We may not have the turnover of Apple, Microsoft or Amazon, but Spilsby now has a World Class recognised business!
Based in Spilsby, and with 14 Staff, Lincolnshire Rural Housing Association (Lincs Rural) was recognised in September 2019 as a prestigious Platinum Investors in People (IIP) organisation, demonstrating commitment to high performance. Platinum accreditation is the highest accolade that can be achieved against the IIP Standard, which is currently only held by around 100 of the 10,000 accredited organisations across the world.
There are four levels of accreditation; Accredited, Silver, Gold and Platinum, and each consists of nine Indicators. The Association’s Board and Staff are delighted to have achieved Platinum, but also to have been assessed as the top category of ‘high performing’ in all nine IIP Indicators.
Investors in People is a world-wide business improvement tool, tried and tested over many years. IIP reflects the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People has enabled Lincs Rural to compare itself against the best in business, and make improvements.
Why did we want to achieve Platinum IIP? We wanted to benchmark ourselves against the top performing and achieving organisations. This has helped the Association to become a top performer, and strengthen our workplace culture. We are able to continuously improve performance for the benefit of current and future Residents. A win-win for everyone associated with Lincs Rural.
The Platinum achievement is a reflection of Lincs Rural’s commitment to making it a great place to work, where everyone can achieve their ambitions and goals.
The IIP recognition stated “Examination of your performance data shows that you consistently outperform the median scores of small and large national housing associations, and outperform very well against your high-performance benchmark group, justifying your claim of being a high performing housing association.”
John Howes, Chief Executive said “We are delighted that Lincs Rural has been confirmed as a Platinum Investors in People organisation. It is testament to the culture and committed of our hard-working Governance and Staff Teams. The value of working with the IIP Standard since 2005 is summed up by quotes from Staff.
“We are clear on the company’s objectives and that only excellence is good enough”.
“The whole team works hard to achieve them, because it’s for the Residents”.
It’s great working here – I love it”.
