Effective from September 2023, fluorescent lamps, light bulbs and tubes will be banned from sale in the UK meaning you will not be able to buy replacement bulbs and tubes when they reach the end of their life. This is due to changes in legislation and is already in effect in many European countries.
This may affect some lights in your home, especially older kitchen strip lights and sealed unit bathroom lights. Normal pendant light fittings will not be affected as these can be fitted with modern LED bulbs.
If you suspect you have one of these older light fittings then we would be grateful if you could let us know and send us a picture of it.
